Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

Description

This qualification is an Australian nationally recognised training course designed for those interested in becoming qualified to deliver and assess nationally accredited programs in a registered training organisation such as Grant-Lapre Solutions or other private training providers.

The Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) requires registered providers of accredited vocational education and training program to ensure that their staff, delivering and assessing programs, meet specified standards.

Commitment

This study required a dedication and motivation to continue through the months until all 14 modules are completed.

The 14 modules can generally be completed between 6 months and 12 months on a part time basis.

Pathways

Upon completion of a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, graduates can undertake further studies for the Diploma in Training and Assessment.

All Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) in Australia will recognise this qualification as credit toward further studies or towards completion of your qualification should you have completed only some of the modules, thus be holders of official Statement of Attainments.

Gaining credit for previous study or experience

Your experience in the industry as a trainer and assessor will be considered if you choose to apply for RPL Recognition of Prior Learning that could give you credit towards some of the unit of competencies required for this Certificate Program.

Career prospects

Graduates of Certificate IV in Training and Assessment are qualified to fill positions Teachers and trainers in TAFEs and other registered training organisations. Positions in Human Resources often advertise for personnel with this qualification.

Professional recognition

Vocational Education and Training (VET) Industry recognise this as the entry-level qualification for trainers.

Entrance requirements

There are no prerequisites for this certificate. It is important to have an ability to communicate effectively both in speaking and writing as well as effective interpersonal skills as this role is one that requires the trainer to deliver training as well as preparing documentation to support the training and assessment. in However, you must have effective language, communication and interpersonal skills.
